GRASS-FED BEEF TALLOW

Tallow is a natural product rendered from the fat of cattle. It is rich in fatty acids like oleic, palmitic, and stearic acid, and fat-soluble vitamins, including vitamins A, D, E, and K. Tallow is deeply moisturizing and creates a protective barrier that reduces moisture loss and leaves skin feeling soft and nourished.

NON-NANO ZINC OXIDE

Zinc oxide provides broad-spectrum UV protection against both UVA rays (responsible for premature aging and deeper skin damage) and UVB rays (responsible for sun burn). It strengthens the skin barrier by providing a protective layer that helps reduce moisture loss, shields the skin from environmental irritants and supports the skin’s natural healing process. Non-nano particles stay on the skin’s surface, providing a shield.

CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE

Caprylic/capric triglyceride is a naturally derived plant oil made by combining glycerin with caprylic acid and capric acid, which are fatty acids derived from plant oils such as coconut oil. It moisturizes the skin by helping reduce water loss. It also softens and smooths the skin, leaving a light, silky finish.

JOJOBA OIL 

Jojoba oil is a plant oil with a composition that closely resembles human sebum, the skin’s natural oil. It locks in moisture and is well absorbed, leaving the skin feeling smooth and supporting skin resilience. It is gentle for sensitive skin.

BEESWAX

Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honeybees that contains vitamin A and fatty acids. It creates a breathable barrier on the skin that shields from wind, cold, dry air, and environmental irritants. It reduces moisture loss and softens skin, improving skin texture and leaving it feeling smooth and supple.

SHEA BUTTER

Shea butter is a plant-based fat extracted from the nuts of the shea tree and is rich in vitamin A, vitamin E, and plant oxidants. It reinforces the skin’s natural protective barrier by reducing moisture loss, protecting against environmental stress and supporting the skin’s natural repair process. An excellent emollient, shea butter improves skin texture, leaving the skin feeling silky and nourished.

LANOLIN WAX

Lanolin is a natural waxy substance derived from sheep’s wool. It adheres well to the skin, providing long-lasting hydration and restores suppleness to the skin. It provides a semi-occlusive layer that strengthens the skin barrier, shielding it from cold, wind, and dry air. It is lanolin that contributes a product's water resistance.

POLYHYDROXYSTEARIC ACID

Polyhydroxystearic acid is a polymer derived from a fatty acid that is typically sourced from castor oil. It helps to evenly disperse mineral particles like zinc oxide and keeps mineral particles suspended to reduce settling over time. It improves spreadability, making the sunscreen apply more smoothly and reduces zinc oxide's white cast by helping mineral particles distribute more evenly. It also enhances shelf stability so the sunscreen maintains consistent SPF performance throughout its shelf life.

VITAMIN E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects the skin from stress caused by UV exposure, pollution, and free radicals. It supports the skin’s natural defenses and maintains its natural moisture, leaving skin soft, smooth, and radiant.

SANDALWOOD ESSENTIAL OIL

Sandalwood essential oil helps support the skin’s natural moisture barrier and contains naturally occurring compounds that help protect the skin from environmental stressors.
